On Friday the 27th of July 2018 at 16:00, In the Medway field  at the War and Peace Revival, we celebrated the 50th anniversary since the start of production of the Land Rover 1/2 Ton better known now as the Lightweight.

We were delighted to see the field start to fill up towards our target of 50 Lightweights. After a nervous 5 minutes stuck on 49 a group of dutch gentlemen came rolling into the field to a loud cheer! This completed a long dream of ours to get 50 Lightweights in one place for the 50th anniversary. This is by far the largest gathering of privately owned Lightweights together in one place and is unlikely to be broken any time soon!

We would like to thank everyone who made the exceptional effort to travel from far and wide to attend the event. Extending our thanks to the team at War and Peace for all their help and support. I  would also like to thank all the team that marshalled the event and supported it every step of the way.
